The lives of over 400,000 people have been taken as a result of the ongoing conflict in Darfur, Sudan, and 2.5 million more are refugees unable to return home. In response to this crisis, we have formed the Atlanta-Darfur Initiative. We are dedicated to helping raise awareness and funds for the families that have been chased from their homes in Darfur, who face the threat of starvation, disease, and rape.  Although a major genocide is occurring, many Americans are unaware of the magnitude of these circumstances.  ADI is a group of concerned individuals in Atlanta, Georgia who have teamed up with the Save Darfur Coalition to bring “A Weekend for Darfur” to Atlanta, Ga.
